Loved the atmosphere of the Inn. Lots of history there. Food was great. Definitely will be back. Go down and check out the bathrooms for sure and pop around the corner to see Swayze's Cellar door.
Just off the main road is The Olde Angel Inn and Pub. A traditional pub with beers on tap and bottled beer. They also have their own beer, which the wheat ale was good. Service was good, attentive and pleasant. Friendly and welcoming. Not a bad selection of food choices. The wings are meaty and tasty. I had the fish and chips which were really good, fish was good and the batter not soggy or full of grease. The tarter sause was very good. The fries were average. If your looking for a quiet place to have a meal and chat to your friend/significant other, this may not be for you as it can get noisy.
I LOVE coming to Olde Angel Inn. Every time we visit Niagara on the Lake we have a meal here. The staff is wonderful. And the food is AMAZING. Each time we visit we have something different and it's been delicious every time. It can be very loud, so if you want something quiet this is not the place for you. But if you enjoy British pub fare then Angel Inn is for you.
Great food with some local craft beers available on tap. Great old European environment full of history. The food is typical Irish pub food and taste great. Slightly more on the expensive side, but we'll worth it. Make sure you ask the waiter about the hostory of the Inn as it is over 100 years old.
It's a great little spot to duck into to have a beer. They have the usual taps that you would expect to see in an old pub like Guinness. But they also have collaborated with actual breweries to have a selection of they're own Craft brews. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the Angel Inn IPA. Part of the charm of this place is that it has quite low ceilings. The wait staff have nearly always been smiley and friendly whenever I have visited.
