Very quiet , quaint hotel. Very nice room with a view of the vineyards. Restaurant was excellent and its very close to downtown Niagara on the Lake! Recommend highly.
3 day ago we visited this restaurant for dinner. We had been there a few years ago and loved it and decided to have our anniversary dinner there. There was no one at the entrance to the restaurant so we approached the bar, where an older lady had her back to us. We gave her a few minutes to acknowledge our presence, which she did. Keeping her back to us she said hello and then did we need help. I was so taken aback by her rudeness I can't even remember the rest of the conversation, except she did not turn to face us. I did not see her face until she delivered one of the dishes to our table. Our waitress was a very nice young girl, who looked like Ann Hathaway, and she was very sweet. She did not seem very experienced but her "sweetness" more than compensated for that. The meal was expensive and incredibly dull and did not have a lot of flavour. They chef has obviously changed since our last visit and I think management too as they would never have tolerated such bad service in the past. I would not recommend this restaurant . Such a pity.
The king size bed and the room was beautiful. The decore and vineyards are breathtaking and the staff was very friendly. The complementary bottle of wine at the end of our stay was a nice gesture.However, the wifi was terrible so if your planning on working while you are here, dont. The restaurant was bland and as one reviewer wrote unimaginative. The staff was friendly but slow and with so many high end restaurants around the Riverbend Inn is not your best option.Still we enjoyed our stay and I would definitely come back to stay as the Inn itself is wonderful and very quiet. We recommend it!
My wife and I booked the private gazebo and had an amazing dinner watching the sunset over the vineyard. Daniel, our waiter, was pleasant and gave us the right amount of privacy and care. A wonderful evening.
We were treated very well by all members of the staff. The facilities are beautiful, clean and spacious. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the meals served at the on-site restaurant. I highly recommend the Riverbend Inn to anyone who is interested in a holiday in the Niagara region.
