We visited the Pillar and Post this weekend as a friend was hosting her wedding there. We didn't stay at the hotel but had breakfast there two days in a row as it was the closest to where we were staying. Their breakfast buffet is delicious, lots of variety and great price too. For the wedding, the ceremony was beautiful at the Rose Garden and the reception was a blast - the ballroom decor looked amazing as well. The food was delicious and the staff was great. We all had a great time and would definitely recommend the Pillar and Post.
My wedding ceremony was here, and it was sort of like a packaged deal when I booked my wedding reception at Prince of Wales. The 'managers' are so incompetent, that it breaks my heart every time I think about this. My wedding took place at 1pm in the afternoon and chairs are suppose to be set up by 11am. The day of 'manager' or coordinator did not show up until noon. Not only that, they didn't take the time to reach out and ask what we require for the event or try to make everything work for us. The only communication I received from them is 'no fake flower petals' in the garden which is absurd if I am paying $800 for a venue, the least they can do is cleanup after my wedding. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Brides should avoid at all costs unless you want to deal with this on the day of your wedding, calling the venue and asking why they haven't set up the chairs.
Went here for our anniversary, enjoyed a nice spa treatment and lunch. The massage was amazing. It was a 50 min massage but only felt like 10 mins, in a good way. Time just slipped away. The lounge provided while waiting for our service was comfortable and cozy. For someone who was nervous about his first time it was just what I needed. The only downside would have to be the locker rooms, at least the men's room. Half of it felt fancy and high class, the other looked like something out of a prison drama. All the staff was friendly and polite. Please remember to bring your own flip flops as the ones provided felt like they were made out of recycled tires.Lunch as great, we had a burger and a buffalo chicken wrap. The burger was cooked perfected and the fries were hot and crispy. Limited beer menu, but extensive wine and liquor options. A great way to end a fantastic weekend.
From check in to the optional Express check out it felt like a dream. The service was incredible, and we never out of place, even though we were younger and a bit more alternative then the other guests seemed to be. The service was extremely friendly and professional, the food was to die for, and the bartenders made exquisite drinks. It's a very expensive place, but seeing as we were prepared to spend a lot we had a great time. Celebrating a birthday for my girlfriend was awesome here, she received a rose after out meal, a card and chocolate at check in, and another rose was brought to her at our room. We both left so happy and that's forgetting to mention the bed was comfier than anything I've slept in before.
We held our wedding here in Feb 2018, the whole planning experience with the Vintage hotels team was wonderful. They were very attentive to our needs and especially accommodating for myself and some family members with severe food allergies. From the front desk to the spa to the serving staff at our tasting and actual wedding the service was 5 star. The grounds and building itself are breathtaking even in the winter. Our honeymoon suite was exceptional with a fireplace and complimentary champagne. We also had our tasting, rehearsal dinner and day after brunch here also, all of the events food was phenomenal. It was so good in fact we came back for an evening on our honeymoon. Our whole experience was magical. Thank you for making our day so special.
