Will be a cool place when renovating reconstruction is complete. Interesting walk there through the golf course.
Interesting history and great view of the lake. Walk through the golf course.
Will be amazing to visit when removation is done. I hope one day that the renovation brings the fort the way it was with main building that we can visit inside, with addition barrack buildings outside (we see their foot-prints in the ground) and wood pallisade on top of the bern and all around the berm (like we see on one of the image on the exibit).
Beautiful. A nice, secluded piece of history. The tunnel that goes out to the rocks provides a breathtaking view of the lake. A wonderful place for a date to end up.
It's being restored but hopefully they will not only restore the building but replace the faded info pannels. This fort seems to have been abandonned over the years. The only building left of the fort is still standing but the rest of the fort is only visible through the info pannels which are old. To get to the fort, you must cut through a golf club which makes it a little weird. You have to wait for golfers to finish their drives or their puts in order to follow etiquette. When you look across the lake you will see Fort Niagara which is on the US side and see once again that the US has just a little more pride when it comes to preserving historic landmarks. Its a good place to walk by if your in the area but I would not stop just for it.
